Abstract: As urbanization and industrial activity continue to grow, the need for robust environmental monitoring has become more critical than ever. Accurately monitoring and managing air quality is essential for protecting public health and ensuring sustainable development in expanding metropolitan areas like Latur City. This review paper outlines the design and implementation of a comprehensive Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) system for Latur, leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). The proposed system aims to provide real-time, high-resolution data on major air contaminants, offering actionable insights for citizens and authorities to mitigate pollution and foster a healthier living environment.
