Abstract: In the rather digitized world that we are living in, emergencies face high risks of cyber-attacks affecting emergency services as well as the country as a whole. This involved the deterioration of emergency response systems such as police, health care and disaster management services that are prone to cyber-attacks which may affect their communication, information or functionality. These weaknesses not only pose a threat to the citizens but also compromise national security since these might be breached or eliminated affecting certain strongholds. Meeting these challenges requires strong cybersecurity measures; increasing the protection of computer networks and implementing the monitoring and response systems. Essential management entails cooperation within and between the different levels of government, non-governmental organizations, and private and multinational organizations to enhance preparedness for new and rising cyber threats. By focusing on cybersecurity strategies, the stakeholders can strengthen the emergency services and protect the interests of the nation against cyber threats that are always emerging in the market.
